Góra Biakło by electric bike
Góra Biakło is a rocky ridge rising above Olsztyn — one of the most distinctive outcrops in the area. Our base stands at its foot.
About
Góra Biakło is a treeless, rocky ridge of Jurassic limestone above Olsztyn near Częstochowa. Its jagged silhouette has earned it the nickname of the Jura’s “little Giewont”. From the top there is a wide panorama: the towers of Olsztyn Castle to the north, the forested Sokole Góry to the south and east.
The limestone rocks of Biakło are a popular rock-climbing spot, and paragliders use the open ridge. You move around the hill on foot, along narrow paths between the outcrops — it is not terrain for riding a bike.
Getting there by bike
It does not get closer — Biakło rises right above our base at ul. Jodłowa 1. You rent an e-bike and within minutes you are at the foot of the hill; you climb the ridge itself on foot, leaving the bike by the road.
Biakło lies in the landscape of our easiest loop, Trop Wilka (24.7 km), which leaves the Olsztyn base and circles the nearby outcrops and the Sokole Góry reserve. For a longer day, Dolina Szeptów (38.4 km) also starts in Olsztyn.
On both loops you ride alone by GPS, at your own pace; a helmet and lock are included in the rental, and the electric assist makes the Jura climbs no obstacle.
